About Janet Heller Howell

"It's About Justice," is my compilation of over 1500 quotations from 2200 BC to today about justice. It's is a very enlightening project combining personal favorites of history, art, literature, government and philosophy.

I graduated from Northampton School for Girls, Northampton MA, attended Chatham College in Pittsburgh PA, received my BS from Elmira College in Political Science and a MA from SUNY, Cooperstown Graduate School in History Museum Studies.

My employment has included Executive Director of three history museums, interim director for two organizations. Prior to that, I worked in Historic Preservation. Outside consulting work includes facilitator/trainer management workshops, video production, National Project Director for Women's Roles Study, Cornell University and Site Manager for Near Westside Historic District Survey, Elmira NY.

Recognition Awards: have included a three week study tour in Japan funded by United States -Japan Foundation, selected as Kanzaki Fellow: nominated for Vanguard Award recognizing women who have achieved professionally and aided others in career pursuits: accomplished Historic District Survey and nomination that received State Award of Excellence.
